Studying Carillon

Between 2009 and 2014 I did my bachelor in music in the city of Amersfoort, in the Dutch School of Carillon (Nederlandse Beiaardschool - Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht). I studied with Frans Haagen, Henk Verhoef and Gijsbert Kok. During those years I was fortunate to play in various towers in The Netherlands (Amersfoort, Leiden, Amsterdam, Delft, Doesburg), Belgium and Poland.

My final exam took place in Amersfoort, in the Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren and comprised the following pieces:

  • Improvisation on a theme by Gijsbert Kok

  • Preludio, Fuga e Allegro - BWV 998 - J. S. Bach - arr. by Bernard Winsemius

  • Preludio V - Matthias v.d. Gheyn

  • Lamento - Jef Rottiers

  • Ella (Tango) - Hector Stamponi - arr. by J. Verdaguer

  • Flor de Lino (Tango) - Hector Stamponi - arr. by J. Verdaguer

  • Day Dreaming (from Two Poems for Children) - Geert D'Hollander

  • Easter Dawning - George Crumb
